Some get hot enough to need active cooling, while some others are cooled simply by the air flow in the PC. Many of us decide to water cool those anyway.

A custom water cooling loop will always perform better but will cost you an arm and leg. The Eiswolf is enough to cool an overclocked Vega FE (1,600MHz core, 1,100MHz HBM2 at 1,000mV). The Vega stays under 65 degrees C when fully utilized. So yeah it's enough to maintain overclocking and prevents thermal throttling.
