If you saw a picture of an all aluminum engine being put into a Cobra it was probably a 427, Cobras never came with the 429/460 based engine, as a matter of fact they were out of production before the 429/460 started production. I am going to bore it to 0.080 and run the largest aluminum Griffin radiator that I can get to help prevent overheating. 9.5 compression with stock GT cam. At 0.060 it never ran hot with stock cooling components. Thoughts please.

Carroll Carter of CC in Manasas Va. bought the rights to manufacture the blocks and has made some improvements to it. It can be had as wet or dry sump as far as oiling is concerned.

Sep 02, 2009 Re: CC Aluminum Blocks. The Roberts Design is based on the 460. The others are based on the 429. The RD block uses all 460 components; timing cover, oil pan, cam, etc. I have a 10.32 deck (stock deck) RD block. You can have all the way up to a 4.600 sleeve put in. Decide on your combo before you order it.
