Coat all threads with Permatex 3H Aviation Form-a-Gasket (follow Permatex's directions for set-up time), then place the bolts in their proper locations. Torque the bolts in the three stages. Anti seize paste on all steel threads that threads into alum threads (spark plugs, acc mount brackets, intake bolts, water neck bolts, etc) Most heads/bolts will torque to 60-70 ft lbs. You need to check to be sure though.
Feb 25, 2007 7/16 bolts with grade 8 washers work fine. This is how things were done for years. I use ARP head bolts and grade 8 washers and torque the head bolts to 82 ft/lbs using 30 wt. oil as thread lube. No head sealing problems for several years and I just rebuilt the engine with the same head bolt configuration.
