World heads, like many other aftermarket heads, are made to be used on 351W blocks as well, and therefore are drilled for the larger windsor headbolts (7/16" thread). To use the standard 1/2" 289/302 headbolts you'll need to use these reducer bushings, or get special headbolts with a 7/16" shoulder and 1/2" thread.
Nov 22, 2013 - A guy in my Mustang club has a '70 Boss 302 clone. For the engine, he bought a new Boss 302 block from Ford. Getting that engine built has been a nightmare. It has a lot of weird, unique characteristics. For example, standard, off the shelf oil filters won't fit it. That block requires some kind of weird, unique oil filter.

Jun 25, 2005 Our current buggy with 4-wheel steer, iron block 302 w/ aluminum heads, C-6, and an Atlas transfercase crosses the scale at 3600 lbs. I want something lighter. Building one without rear steer and an aluminum block can get me close to being under the 3000 lbs mark alone. Other items will make it possible.
Boss 302. The 1969–1970 Boss 302 cylinder head is little more than a modified 351C head casting revised for use on a 302 block. The primary difference is cooling passages, because the 351C has a dryintake manifold and the Boss 302 has a wet one.
Apr 14, 2020 The Clevor is similar to the Boss 302. It consists of a Windsor block outfitted with Cleveland cylinder heads. It's not limited to a particular displacement and can be built on a 302 or 351W platform. Unlike the old days, many off-the-shelf components are available for the Clevor.

Oct 06, 2005 With a stock block being this strong you dont have a need for an after market block unless your wanting to get a larger bore size. The 302 block is different is alot weaker. The only option in stock blocks are the 302 boss which you wont find or the "Mexican block" which is really same the boss block but doesnt have 4 bolt mains.
