Jun 04, 2021 Naturally, plates made with metals like aluminum and brass result in a stiffer typing experience while softer materials like PC, FR4 and POM result in a softer typing experience. Extra note: if you use a white painted plate in a RGB build the lighting is much more obvious and pleasing, like the anne pro 2 here.

This mostly stems from brass is heavily prone to oxodation buildup over time. This is fine in areas that can be cleaned but say between the plate and pcb aside from desoldering it can't be cleaned and can become quite gross over time. My personal opinion is brass is great if it's open to being cleaned. Otherwise the low/no maintenance is aluminum.
