Dec 08, 2018 The last block I had line honed ( due to a broken main cap) had to have .0015" removed from it, but the machinist adjusted the hone so it only took 0.0005" off the front cap. The backlash was still in spec. I do not recommend line honing the block as a general principal, only to repair a block that has a lot invested in it.

Im 6'9, having owned full size trucks from the big 3, these gen5 Explorers are unequivocally the best fitting for my size. However, high window sills are a bit high for most shorter folks Ive talked to. In 100k miles, Ive only replaced rear brakes and front struts and only the right one had failed at that. Rear brakes are just about due.
