Feb 20, 2015 The aluminum gas block isn't necessarily a major safety concern, but to pretend that it's a suitable material based solely on the 'melting point' betrays a serious ignorance regarding the properties and behaviors of different metals under varying conditions such as heat, pressure, thermal stress, etc. An aluminum gas block WILL fail prematurely.

Feb 12, 2009 Brownell's has a nice aluminum gasblock, it has a top rail and has 3 other add-on rails you can add or subtract to build how you like. Also check with Addax, they have very nice items that they stand behind. I like my aluminum gas-block on my carbine.
